Civic Group Accuses Prosecution Service of Prosecution's Investigation Command of 'Kim Gun-hee Non-Prosecution'

A civic group has filed a complaint with the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office against Shim Woo-jung, the prosecutor general of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, for indicting Kim Gun-hee's alleged involvement in Deutsche Motors stock price manipulation and the receipt of luxury bags.

The Citizens' Action for Justice held a press conference at the National Assembly today (21st) and announced that it will file a complaint with the Senior Prosecutor Shim, Chief Prosecutor Lee Chang-soo of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, and Senior Prosecutor Cho Sang-won on charges of dereliction of duty.

In order to exonerate the president and his wife, President Shim and others have abandoned the duties of prosecutors who have to investigate and prosecute if there is a crime.

The prosecution then explained that they never requested a search warrant for Kim in connection with the two cases, and that the summons was conducted with the prosecutors in charge returning their phones at a third place.

Earlier, the prosecution cleared Kim of violating the anti-graft law in connection with the receipt of luxury bags and the capital market law in connection with Deutsche Motors' alleged involvement in the stock manipulation.
