President Yoon's NATO Secretary-General's Call... "Close to Russia, Threat of World Peace"

President Yoon Suk Yeol spoke by phone with NATO Secretary-General Mark Luther and shared information about North Korean combatants sending troops to Russia.

In the call at Luther's request, Yoon said Russia's reckless military closeness with North Korea has fundamentally shaken the international order, threatening peace on the Korean Peninsula and the world.

The South Korean government then said it would never sit idly by and emphasized that it would actively take step-by-step measures in line with the progress of military cooperation between Russia and North Korea.President

Yoon added that he hopes to seek practical countermeasures with NATO and NATO member states in the process.

In response, Secretary-General Luther replied that he hopes to strengthen defense cooperation and security dialogue between South Korea, Ukraine and NATO to cope with North Korea's dispatch of troops to Russia in the future.President
