[Gyeonggi] New York 'Sales Diplomacy' Achievement...Attracting 2 trillion won worth of investment

Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon, who is engaged in U.S. sales diplomacy, attracted large investments worth 2 trillion won in New York.

Gyeonggi Province's 22 stardups also made their successful debuts on the New York stage with the support of the province.

ESR Kendall Square, a joint venture of global logistics real estate investment firm ESR, based in the Asia-Pacific region, has confirmed its investment in Yeoju, Gyeonggi Province.

The plan is to invest 2 trillion won by 2027 to build a 990,000㎡ hydrogen logistics infrastructure.

It is expected to generate 2.5 trillion won in economic inducement and 7,700 jobs.

The investment company also plans to create a fund to support companies related to high-tech industries in Yeoju.

UL Solutions, a global company with 128 years of history in safety science, has also decided to invest 100 billion won in the foreign investment area of Oseong, Pyeongtaek.

We decided to build a test base specialized in advanced mobility, electric vehicles, and batteries.

If the test center is successfully established, it is expected that the competitiveness of electric vehicle and battery-related industries in the province will be greatly strengthened.

[Kim Dong-yeon / Governor of Gyeonggi-do Province: We have signed an MOU to attract investment worth KRW 2 trillion. One was to build an eco-friendly distribution center, and the second was to attract verification agencies that tested world-class batteries.

Twenty-two startups in Gyeonggi Province also successfully made their debuts in New York.

More than 1,500 Korean entrepreneurs from the Americas participated in the "Startup Summit," and the sponsorship of Gyeonggi-do Province played a big role.

Gyeonggi-do Province plans to make Gyeonggi-do a startup paradise by actively supporting startups' opportunities to enter overseas markets, localization, and investment.
