Some test-takers have filed a lawsuit against the controversy over the leakage of natural essay questions for Yonsei University's early admission for the 2025 academic year, asking them to invalidate the essay exam.

The test takers asked for the results before the announcement of the successful candidates for the last test, and attention is being paid to what judgment the court will make.

Reporter facial expression, the test takers and parents filed a lawsuit?

[Journalist]
Yes, that's right.

18 students and parents of Yonsei University's essay examination filed a lawsuit yesterday (21st) with the Seoul Western District Court to confirm the invalidity of Yonsei University's natural essay examination and a provisional injunction for suspension of its effect.

They are asking for a lawsuit to invalidate the test as they are suspected of cheating, and to stop the entrance examination process by citing provisional disposition before announcing the successful candidates for essay writing.

The test takers claimed that Yonsei University's sloppy management and supervision undermined the fairness of the test, including the leakage of test information.

In addition, he pointed out that if this case is ignored as it is, nothing will happen even if the test is conducted unfairly.

The litigants said they hoped for a quick and accurate judgment from the court so that the results of the essay test can be concluded before Nov. 15, when they expect it to be published.

What will be the issue in the future litigation?

[Reporter]
Yes. The key dispute in the lawsuit is expected to be whether fairness has been undermined to the extent that the essay test has already been invalidated.

Test takers and parents who participated in the lawsuit claim that fairness was violated when a student at a test site distributed the test papers in advance was found to have delivered information about the problem to a student at another test site.

He also explained that he was confused because the school's process was different for each test site due to the incorrect marking of the problem among the natural essay tests.
On the other hand, Yonsei University, on the other hand, argues that the questionnaire has never been leaked directly, and that there has been no objective fact that violates the fairness of entrance examinations.

However, he explained that he asked the law enforcement authorities to investigate and investigate without any suspicion because he thought it was the university's duty to resolve all suspicious situations.
