A poultry farm in Chuncheon caught fire, killing 170,000 chickens.


In Gunsan, a captain in his 60s who was fishing at sea is missing and the coast guard is conducting an intensive search.

In the dark darkness, flames and smoke billow through the rain, as if to engulf the entire building.

A fire broke out at a poultry farm in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province, at around 5:50 p.m. yesterday.

The fire burned four buildings, including a warehouse, and was extinguished in four hours.

No one was injured by nine employees, but the fire caused 1 billion won in damage, with 170,000 chickens burned.

Fire authorities believe the fire started in the warehouse and are investigating the exact cause of the fire.

A fire broke out at the auto industry company in Hakik-dong, Michuhol-gu, Incheon at around 10 p.m. last night, and it was extinguished in 40 minutes.

No one was injured, but parts of the building and several vehicles were burned.

In Gunsan, North Jeolla Province, a captain in his 60s who was fishing in the sea is missing.

The Coast Guard, which received a report from a nearby fishing boat at around 5 p.m. yesterday that there were only mobile phones and no people, has been searching for two days by deploying patrol boats and diving personnel.

Yesterday afternoon, a Jeju Air passenger flight from Gimpo to Jeju Island returned to the port before takeoff due to an engine defect, causing more than 180 passengers to experience inconvenience.

Jeju Air plans to compensate and refund the affected passengers, saying that it has resumed operations by deploying an alternative aircraft in three and a half hours.
