Maserati hit-and-runners are further arrested for 'drunk driving'

The Gwangju District Prosecutors' Office arrested and charged a 32-year-old Maserati driver, identified only by his surname Kim, who suffered two casualties in a hit-and-run accident, on charges of escape and driving under the influence of alcohol.

Through a supplementary investigation, the prosecution confirmed that Kim drank more than two bottles of soju three times before driving, and additionally charged him with driving drunk at the level of license cancellation according to the Weedmark formula.

In addition, 33-year-old Oh, who helped Kim escape, was also charged with criminal escape and handed over to trial.

Kim is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol in Hwajeong-dong, Seo-gu, Gwangju, early on the 24th of last month when he crashed into a motorcycle that was ahead of him, killing one person and seriously injuring one.
