The Defense Intelligence Headquarters of the Ministry of National Defense said that North Korea is estimated to have secured weapons and other war supplies that can last up to three months, so the impact on the wartime stockpile of Russian aid is not significant.

The Defense Intelligence Headquarters made the decision in consideration of the amount of North Korea's support to Russia so far, existing reserves, and North Korea's ability to produce weapons in the data sent to Kang Dae-sik, a member of the National Assembly's National Defense Committee.

However, the intelligence headquarters analyzed that if more weapons exports continue than now, the North Korean military may also be affected to some extent, such as training disruptions due to lack of supply and demand.

It is estimated that there are about 200 North Korean munitions factories and that they have the capacity to produce major weapons and ammunition on their own, but added that accurate analysis is limited because major munitions factories are underground.

He then said that the munitions factory, which produces weapons known to be exported by North Korea to Russia, is currently operating as much as possible to increase weapons production.

Russia is using North Korean missiles on the battlefield, so South Korea and the U.S. are jointly tracking them, he said, adding that there is a possibility of supporting 122 mm multiple rocket launchers, T-type tank shells, portable anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-tank missiles that can be compatible with both countries.
