The construction project of the Daejeo Bridge in Busan, which has been struggling due to controversy over the impact of migratory birds' arrival sites, has begun full-fledged construction with the groundbreaking ceremony.
This project will connect the 8.24km section from Sikman-dong, Gangseo-gu, Busan to Samrak-dong, Sasang-gu with eight bridges and three intersections, and the city plans to complete it by 2029 with a budget of KRW 390 billion.
At the groundbreaking ceremony, Busan Mayor Park Hyung-joon said, "It has opened the door for the construction of Nakdonggang Bridge, which has not progressed for 10 years."
