Police have arrested middle school students who stole an unlocked car parked on the side of the road.


Gyeyang Police Station in Incheon said on the 22nd that it arrested three people, including A, a first-year middle school student, and B, a middle school student, on charges of unlicensed driving under the theft and road traffic laws.

Earlier, A and others are accused of stealing a vehicle built on a road in Imhak-dong, Gyeyang-gu, Incheon at around 2:50 p.m. on the 19th, driving the vehicle without a license, and assisting it.

The police, who were dispatched after receiving a report of theft from the owner of the vehicle, found a vehicle parked on a road in Cheongcheon-dong, Bupyeong-gu at around 6:02 p.m. on the same day and caught the group at nearby shopping malls.

A is said to have stated in a police investigation, "I learned how to drive a vehicle in the game."


Meanwhile, on the 9th of last month, a fifth-grade elementary school student was arrested after stealing a vehicle around a residential area in Cheongju.

They are teenagers aged 10 to 14 years old, so they avoided punishment for criminal punishment, but they can be protected by probation or juvenile detention.
