The Air Force said the ROK-U.S. Air Force will hold a large-scale joint aerial drill called "Freedom Flag Training" for two weeks from the 21st to the 1st of next month.
The 'Freedom Flag' exercise has been renamed in the first half and the second half of every year, meaning that the ROK-U.S. Air Force will defend freedom and peace with a strong joint defense posture.
In particular, he added that for the first time in this training, fighter and unmanned aircraft will carry out missions together to improve the ability and practicality of complex system operations.
A total of 110 South Korean and U.S. air forces participated in the training, including F-35A, F-15K, KF-16 fighter jets from the South Korean Air Force, F-35B and F-16 fighters from the U.S. Forces Korea and Japan, as well as A-10 attack aircraft and unmanned attack aircraft MQ-9 Reapers.
Following last year, the KC-30A, an Australian Air Force refueling aircraft, will also participate in training with the ROK-U.S. Air Force.
