After Han Dong-hoon, the representative of People's Power, formalized the push for a "special inspector" to resolve the controversy over Kim Gun-hee, internal feuds within the ruling camp are intensifying.

Yesterday, floor leader Choo Kyung-ho virtually put the brakes on Han's announcement, saying it was a floor issue, but Han did not hide his displeasure, saying it was the party leader who was in charge of the entire party today.

I'm connecting you with a reporter from the National Assembly.

Reporter Park Jung-hyun, the atmosphere of the ruling party has been unusual since the morning meeting?

[Reporter]
Yes, representative Han Dong-hoon, at the morning meeting, once again vowed to proceed with the process of practical recommendation and appointment of the special inspector in relation to the issue of First Lady Kim Gun-hee.

We have repeatedly expressed our willingness to pursue it, saying that it was our promise as a last presidential pledge,

After representative Han first formalized the promotion of a special inspector yesterday, floor leader Choo Kyung-ho met with reporters,
The special inspector
expressed a different stance from representative Han, saying it is a matter of the floor and will be decided through a general meeting of lawmakers.Regarding CEO Han

mentioning the timing of the implementation as before CEO Lee Jae-myung's sentencing next month, he drew a line, saying, 'I don't think the two issues should be combined,

Representative took aim at Choo head-on in the morning meeting.

He responded sharply to floor leader Choo, saying that the task of overseeing regardless of whether it is the floor or the outside is carried out by the party leader.

In the morning meeting, Supreme Council member Jang Dong-hyuk also voiced his opinion that neither the party nor the people will wait unless the party and the government change the way they deal with and solve the problem.

Floor leader Choo Kyung-ho was absent from the morning meeting.

The floor leader Choo explained that the schedule and the time overlapped.

Instead, the chief executive officer of the pro-Yoon-gye Kim Jae-won poured out his determined remarks toward representative Han.Supreme Council member

Kim sharply criticized that there should be at least a certain degree of gold in criticism and that self-inflicted acts might lead to the destruction of the conservative camp.

The conflict within the party has been openly expressed, but the recent signs of division within the ruling party are unusual, right?

[Reporter]
Yes, in a group chat room last night, which included all 108 members of the People's Power, about 10 close-knit lawmakers posted one after another to criticize Choo.

It started with Rep. Bae Hyun-jin,
Floor leader
asked for an explanation, asking if he was fundamentally opposed to the introduction of a special inspector,

On top of that, about 10 close-knit lawmakers, including Park Jung-hoon, Jung Sung-guk and Kim Hyung-dong, posted a flurry of messages, asking for a general meeting of lawmakers to be introduced in accordance with the purpose of the system.

In a phone call, a close-knit lawmaker who posted said, "All decisions are made by the Supreme Committee and the party leader," and that Choo crossed the line.

After all night of resistance, floor leader Choo expressed his intention to hold a general meeting of lawmakers after the parliamentary audit in the chat room this morning,

Yeon is a dinner in which the friendly community gathers power and grows its presence, but the pro-Yoon-gye, who sees this, does not hide his unpleasant inner feelings.

Rep. Kwon Sung-dong criticized it as dogmatic politics in a radio interview, pointing out that representative Han should have communicated with the floor before publicly expressing his opinion on the promotion of a special inspector.

The link between the appointment of a special inspector and the recommendation of the North Korean Human Rights Foundation is the party's theory, so he should have consulted with the "two-top" floor leader.
He also pointed out that the "three demands" proposed by a representative
at the meeting with the president should be considered to have been effectively accepted as the president's office said it would further refrain from Kim's activities.

In addition, Han expressed discomfort that gathering his aides and eating together whenever there was a confrontation with Yongsan was not the right form of the party leader to embrace the entire party.

Representative Kwon, however, advised Yongsan that it was not in a good shape to invite floor leader Choo to have a dinner immediately after the meeting, and that the presidential office also needs to change in consideration of the remaining term of office.

What's the situation with the Democratic Party?

[Reporter]
The Democratic Party of Korea appears to be digging into the cracks of the split ruling party while raising the level of its offensive against Kim.

At the morning meeting, Park Chan-dae, the floor leader, mentioned that representative Han Dong-hoon said that the public's demands regarding Kim's suspicions should be resolved, stressing that the consistent demands of the public are to seek an independent counsel.

There is also a considerable atmosphere within the party that expects Kim's independent counsel law to be passed through the ruling party's internal strife.
An official from the
Democratic Party of Korea made an observation on the phone, saying, "As representative Han is on the verge of narrowing his political position as he was virtually rejected by three demands related to Kim in Yongsan."

This is also the reason why the Democratic Party of Korea is holding talks between the ruling and opposition parties every day.

If the talks are held, the Democratic Party is expected to raise Kim's independent counsel to the core agenda,
Although
is pressuring to accept Kim's special prosecutor, it can be seen that they are internally struggling to persuade representative Han.

An official from the Democratic Party of Korea said on the phone, "Shouldn't we leave room to pass the independent counsel with the help of the ruling party?" and mentioned the possibility of accepting the independent counsel in a third-party recommendation method.

At the same time, some say that suspicions related to Myung Tae-kyun, who was involved in several ruling party figures, can be excluded from the special prosecution.

However, it is true that even within close circles, there is still a strong tendency to distance herself from the special prosecutor Kim.

So far, the specific schedule for the representative meeting has been found to be before the discussion.
