The international community has decided to provide 1 billion dollars and about 1.4 trillion won in our money for Lebanon, which has suffered a humanitarian crisis due to Israel's Hezbollah attack.

It is well above the 426 million euros in aid requested by the United Nations.

French Foreign Minister Jean Noel Barro said at an international conference on Lebanon aid in Paris on Monday local time that it had raised more than $800 million in humanitarian aid and $200 million in aid for the Lebanese army.

"More than $800 million in the United States, including $300 million, has been raised for food, healthcare and education for Lebanese refugees," Barro said.

France agreed to provide 100 million euros, Germany 96 million euros, and the UK at least 15 million pounds.

"What we need to do now is provide shelter to families who have lost their homes in the war, feed children, treat the injured and help students continue their studies," French President Emmanuel Macron said in his opening remarks.

The war has resulted in 800,000 refugees in Lebanon, according to the United Nations tally and more than 1 million in Lebanon's government.

The $200 million raised to support the Lebanese army is expected to be used for recruitment of new soldiers, equipment recruitment, and training.

"The Lebanese government still supports the 21-day ceasefire proposed by the United States and France," Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati said at the meeting, adding that an additional 8,000 troops could be deployed in southern Lebanon if a ceasefire is reached.

More than 70 countries and international organizations attended the international conference, which was presided over by President Macron, but Israel, the party, did not send a delegation.
