held a summit with President Duda at the Presidential Office in Yongsan yesterday afternoon (24th) and the two governments agreed to actively support the successful progress of defense cooperation, including the conclusion of the second round of contract for the K2 tank worth $7 billion within this year.

It also confirmed the normal commitment to the smooth implementation of the $44.2 billion contract for the export of Poland's weapons systems signed in 2022.

The president's office explained that the two sides have created a favorable environment for additional exports in addition to current supplies through active defense sales diplomacy.

It is the first time in 11 years that the Polish president has made a state visit to Korea, and this visit came in July last year as a return visit to President Yoon's official state visit to Poland.
