KRW-USD exchange rate rises to KRW 1,390 on 'Trump effect'

The won-dollar exchange rate rose to 1,390 won during the session.

The won-dollar exchange rate started at 1,379.8 won on the Seoul foreign exchange market, down 0.4 won, but has been rising since then, rising to 1,390.3 won as of 12:36 p.m.

As the dollar continues to strengthen due to the so-called "Trump effect" in the U.S. presidential election, the won-dollar exchange rate has continued to rise after surpassing 1,380 won this week.

Experts in the foreign exchange market predict that the won-dollar exchange rate may rise to 1,400 won due to the U.S. presidential election issue.
