Shin Won-sik, head of the presidential office's national security office, will attend the trilateral security office meeting in the U.S. today (25th) local time.

An official from the presidential office explained that political leaders are changing due to the U.S. presidential election, but it will be a venue for discussions so that cooperation between South Korea, the U.S. and Japan can continue regardless of the political situation.

Earlier, foreign media reported that Shin will meet with U.S. National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan and Japan's National Security Agency Director Takeo Akiba to discuss pending issues such as the North Korean military's dispatch to Russia.
