Kim Myung-soo, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, visits Osan Base to check the joint space operational posture of the ROK-US joint forces.

Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Kim Myung-soo visited Osan Air Base in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province today to check the joint space operational posture of the South Korea-U.S. joint forces, the Joint Chiefs of Staff said.

At the meeting, Chairman Kim stressed the establishment of an effective space operation implementation system and a space cooperation system between South Korea and the U.S., saying that North Korea should respond to increasing threats such as the launch of a military reconnaissance satellite and strengthening military cooperation between Russia and North Korea.

He also added that after being briefed on the annual outdoor training exercise, which began on the 20th, the ability to carry out air operations should be maximized through practical training that reflects recent war patterns and realistic threats.
