Japan's public broadcaster NHK exit poll found that out of 464 seats in the lower house, the Liberal Democratic Party's expected number of seats was 153 to 219, less than the majority of 233.

If the Liberal Democratic Party fails to secure its own majority, it will be 15 years after the Democratic Party was born in 2009.

At the same time, the combined number of seats between the Liberal Democratic Party and the ruling New Komeito Party was 174-254, which was expected to be uncertain for the entire ruling party to secure a majority.

On the other hand, in the case of the main opposition Constitutional Democratic Party, which had 98 seats, the number of seats increased significantly to 128 to 191.

In addition, the National Democratic Party of Korea, which had seven seats, was also predicted to increase to a maximum of 33.

If the ruling Liberal Democratic Party fails to secure a majority in this election, there are predictions within the Liberal Democratic Party that it could take responsibility for Prime Minister Ishiba, the leader of the party, and even move to change the prime minister in earnest.
