Former Chairman Hong Won-sik sues the prosecution, representing major shareholders of Namyang Dairy Products.
Hong Won-sik, former chairman of Namyang Dairy Products, filed a complaint with the prosecution against Namyang Dairy's largest shareholder and Han Sang-won, CEO of Hahn & Company.
Chairman Hong filed a complaint with the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office today (28th) against a representative and a stock trading contract broker.
Former chairman Hong is reportedly claiming to have deceived them as if they would guarantee their status for normalization of management even if they handed over Namyang Dairy's shares.
Hahn & Co. took over the management rights of Namyang Dairy Products in January after a legal dispute with former chairman Hong, who later filed a lawsuit against the company demanding 44.4 billion won in severance pay.
In August, Namyang Dairy filed a complaint against former chairman Hong and three former executives and employees for embezzling about 20 billion won, and the prosecution has since launched a forced investigation.
