The prosecution has demanded a nine-year prison term for former representative Song Young-gil, a key figure in the 'suspicious spread of money envelopes at the Democratic Party's national convention.Former representative Song

However, the prosecution demanded a heavy sentence of nine years in prison and a fine of 100 million won for former CEO Song.

Prosecutors say Song committed a serious crime that violated party democracy, and that the vote-ticket act against lawmakers affected the actual election results.

Song stressed that he should bear the greatest criminal liability as the largest beneficiary of the case and the ultimate decision maker.Regarding the allegation of receiving illegal political funds through the
