"58% of Ukrainians oppose giving up territory"

Polls show that 58% of Ukrainians oppose any form of territorial abandonment.

The International Institute of Sociology of Kyiv said last month's investigation showed the results, AFP reported.

The number is unchanged from May, and the worsening of the war situation and diplomatic difficulties do not seem to have had a significant impact on public opinion, according to the institute.

However, when asked if they could change the question and give up the eastern Donbas region and southern Crimea, which are currently occupied by Russia, 46% said yes, showing a difference.

The survey came before Republican candidate Donald Trump was elected in the U.S. presidential election.
