[Gyeonggi] Yongin City Opens 'Small Business and Startup Hub' Specialized in Semiconductors

Yongin City has established a "small business and start-up hub" on the site of the former AmorePacific plant in Yeongdeok-dong and has begun full-scale operation.

The "Small Business and Startup Hub," run exclusively by the Yongin Industrial Promotion Agency, will serve as a start-up support center that customizes system semiconductors and artificial intelligence start-up companies.

Apart from the operation method of the start-up support center that provides occupancy space, we customize system semiconductors and artificial intelligence start-up companies to foster strategic industries.

To this end, we will cooperate with external specialized institutions such as the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) and the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST).

Yongin Mayor Lee Sang-il said, "We not only help young people who dream of starting a business in high-tech industries such as semiconductors and AI, but also help the elderly enjoy leisure and live a healthy life, and facilities for citizens' mental health and welfare, so we expect a lot of good and meaningful things to happen here."
