As North Korea sprayed filth balloons against the South again, safety notices were sent to the Seoul metropolitan area and Gangwon-do, including Seoul and Gyeonggi-do.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government, Gyeonggi-do Province, Incheon, and Gangwon-do Province informed residents through an emergency disaster text message at around 2:50 a.m. today (18th) that North Korea is providing trash balloons to the South, be careful about falling cargoes and report them to military units or police if they find balloons.
Kim Yo Jong, the younger brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, said in a statement released by the North's Korean Central News Agency yesterday (17th) that he will pay for fliers to North Korea on the 16th, saying they have fallen all over the country.
This year, North Korea has flown filth balloons to the South 31 times since late May.
