Behind the jumpers covered in vinyl, the main door of Dongduk Women's University's main building is firmly closed.
Students have been occupying buildings and demonstrating lacquer against the engineering transition.
At the previous student meeting, about 1,900 students, or 30% of all students, voted against the engineering transition.
When the student council of Dongduk Women's University asked for an interview with the results, the school decided to temporarily suspend discussions on engineering transformation.
The students are welcoming for now.
[Dongduk Women's University: I didn't feel good about the school being ridiculed here and there, but I feel relieved because the situation seems to be calming down.]
The school explained that it has decided to issue a statement that it will proceed through consultation with students if discussions on engineering transition resume.
Classes will also resume as all classroom lockdowns are lifted,
The
school explained that the graduate building was organized enough to use classrooms, and the rest of the building had to be reorganized.
The controversy over the engineering transition that lasted more than 10 days with this interview seems to be over.
However, the student council's occupation of the main building is expected to continue for the time being.
We plan to discuss the lifting of the occupation of the main building at an interview scheduled next Monday.
At the same time, the handling of up to 5.4 billion won in damages caused by protests is also a problem.
If the school holds students criminally responsible for the damage to the facility, normalization of the school could be in trouble again.
