Gyeongsangbuk-do has signed a business agreement with the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Gyeongbuk Office of Education to strengthen the capacity to respond to population crises and spread population education to improve awareness necessary to overcome low birth rates.
In accordance with the agreement, Gyeongsangbuk-do will develop and operate a population education program characterized by Gyeongbuk, and will also promote population education for all generations in consideration of population characteristics and environmental changes in Gyeongbuk.
Through population education, the Ministry of Health and Welfare expected the entire nation, from school-age students, young people, and adults, to have a more positive perception of marriage and parenting.
