Ministry of Foreign Affairs "Welcome to Announcement of Cease-fire...Hope for early restoration of peace"

Our government welcomed the decision to cease-fire between Israel and Lebanon and wished for an early restoration of peace.

The Foreign Ministry said it welcomed the announcement of a ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon and that it evaluated diplomatic efforts by countries involved in the ceasefire negotiations, including the United States and France.

He added that he hoped the thorough implementation of the ceasefire agreement would allow refugees from both sides to return safely.

He also expressed hope that peace in the region will be restored as soon as possible through this ceasefire agreement.
