Two days of heavy snow... Increased flight cancellations and delays

Since yesterday, heavy snow in Seoul and the metropolitan area has caused severe disruption in aircraft operations.

Incheon International Airport Corporation said yesterday that a total of 151 flights were canceled, including 147 international flights and 4 domestic flights, and 175 were delayed.

Today, the situation got worse, so 111 international flights were canceled and 31 flights were delayed as of 06 a.m.

Other domestic airports under the jurisdiction of the Korea Airports Corporation except Incheon Airport have been disrupted, and as of 5 p.m. yesterday, 77 domestic and 1 international flights were canceled and 179 were canceled.

On the second day of heavy snow, 30 flights were canceled, including 12 Gimpo flights, 7 Gimhae flights and 6 Jeju flights, and 11 flights were delayed, the Korea Airports Corporation said.
