The remains of Chinese soldiers killed in the Korean War, which Korea repatriated for the 11th time, have returned to their hometowns.

China's state-run CCTV said the 11th joint delivery ceremony of the remains of Chinese troops was held at Incheon International Airport.

The transport plane carrying 43 remains and 495 articles left Incheon Airport and arrived at Shenyang Taoshen Airport in Liaoning Province, China.

China deployed a state-of-the-art stealth fighter Zen-20 to fly escorts when a Wynn-20 strategic transport plane carrying remains entered its airspace.

At Taoshen Airport, a return ceremony was held in a solemn atmosphere to honor the victims of the dead, and the remains were later moved to Shenyang Heathen Temple.

South Korea has repatriated a total of 981 remains on 11 occasions so far this year, starting with the delivery of 437 Chinese troops in 2014.
