There are many people who get semi-permanent tattoos to improve the eyebrow image that determines the impression.

According to the Ministry of Health and Welfare, 13 million people have received semi-permanent makeup or tattoo procedures in Korea.

According to the Korean Tattoo Association, there are 6.5 million semi-permanent makeup procedures per year alone.

Under the current law, it is illegal for a non-medical person to get a tattoo.

According to a survey by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, only 1.4% of tattoos and 6.8% of semi-permanent makeup were performed at hospitals.

It's more than 90% illegal.

For this reason, there are growing voices that we need a related system.

About half of tattoo and semi-permanent makeup users said that non-medical personnel should be allowed to perform the procedure.

In major countries such as the United States, Australia, and the United Kingdom, tattooing is managed through separate regulations rather than medical practice.

Japan's Supreme Court also ruled in 2020 that tattoos were not a medical practice.

In Korea, the Ministry of Health and Welfare has been considering institutionalization since March,
In the
22nd National Assembly, lawmakers Yoon Sang-hyun and Park Joo-min have proposed legislation on tattooist regulations, respectively.

However, harmful substances, including first-class carcinogens, have been detected in many products of Moon Shin-yong Dyes, causing shock.
