Deputy Prime Minister and Education Minister Lee Ju-ho said he will require the number of new students to be reduced as much as the number of overselection students in the future in connection with Yonsei University's policy of additional essay tests for natural science.

Deputy Prime Minister Lee appeared on YTN today (28th) and explained that it is an over-recruitment due to Yonsei University's negligence, and that he plans to reduce the number of people in 2027 according to the regulations.

He also stressed that since Yonsei University has chosen additional tests as an alternative, the Ministry of Education will quickly notify students of the procedures and supervise them to make the additional tests fair.

In addition, he added that the government will cooperate and continue to explain so that it does not harm current first-year high school students entering the university in 2027.
