subway safety personnel are also coming out earlier than usual to help with traffic.

Most of them thought it would be faster to leave their own cars and use public transportation, so they left the car and said they came out early to avoid rush hour.

As many citizens use public transportation, more cars are operated than usual.
In order to help people get off work smoothly, Korail said it plans to operate 10 more metropolitan trains, including Line 1 and Gyeongui Jungang Line.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government has lowered the emergency response level of the Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters to one level from 11 a.m. today and Gyeonggi Province to 1 p.m. today.
However, as there are a series of reports of damage caused by heavy snow, they said they will start snow removal from evening to night in preparation for emergency situations.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government said it plans to deploy 6,000 personnel and 1,190 snow removal equipment to respond initially to prevent any inconvenience to citizens on their way home from work.
He also said that it would be better to use public transportation as much as possible on the way to and from work as snow is expected to continue overnight.
