YTN reports confirmed that a 16-year-old student who collapsed from a brain hemorrhage while battling the "Moyamoya" disease died due to delayed emergency treatment amid a prolonged parliamentary conflict.

The student had his first surgery in six hours while searching for the emergency room, and lost his life in a week.

Reporter Chung Hyeon-woo reports.

At dawn on the 15th of last month, an ambulance enters the alley of Suwon residential area.

The paramedics scrambled and set off in a minute.

A 16-year-old A, who suffered from moya moya disease, which narrowed or blocked blood vessels in the brain, collapsed due to cerebral hemorrhage.

[Mr. A's mother: I have a headache, that was the last thing I said. So I told him to wait a little bit and to wake up....]

After getting into the ambulance, paramedics rushed to find a hospital to treat the child.

At that time, the ambulance with a 16-year-old man A in the alley couldn't move for a while.

It's because I was calling to find an emergency room to accommodate A.

We contacted everything we could, including two nearby small and medium-sized hospitals and university hospitals, but there was no place where medical treatment was possible.

[Mr. A's mother: Even if you say no, say no, and keep calling.... Even if you come, you can't do anything right now. That's how I said it.]

Only 9km away from home, one emergency room was connected and I arrived at the hospital 70 minutes after the first report.

[Mr. A's mother] I was so scared. This is going to go wrong.... He didn't take it anywhere. There was nothing I could do.]

However, the hospital took him to another place, saying the surgery was difficult, and four hours later, the student was on the operating table six hours after the first report.

A, who did not receive proper treatment in time, passed away in a week after wandering around.
