"Enhance to vote for resignation of the government," KTU chairman summons police

The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's public crime investigation team summoned Jeon Hee-young, chairman of the National Teachers and Education Workers' Union, for encouraging the "voting for the resignation of President Yoon Suk Yeol."

In October, Chairman Jeon posted an appeal on the KTU's website to participate in the referendum on President Yoon's resignation, and the Ministry of Education asked the police to investigate Jeon, saying he violated a rule prohibiting public officials from political activities.

Prior to the police appearance, Chairman Jeon held a press conference and criticized the Ministry of Education, which should protect teachers, for calling for an investigation, using the outdated evil law prohibiting political activities and group activities.
