Shin said that the 'Jung Mong-gyu Executive Department' should be the last to take over the administration of the chaebol head, and that he will become a 'working CEO' based on his experience as CEO of Seongnam FC in 2014.

While Chairman Chung Mong-kyu is likely to seek a fourth term, the election on January 8 next year became a "three-way race" as Professor Shin announced his candidacy following former national soccer team coach Huh Jung-moo.

Professor Shin Moon-sun retired early after playing three seasons as a player for the merit soccer team in 1983, and has since served as a broadcasting commentator and Seongnam FC CEO.
