Private parents who died during training appeal for "finding the truth and punishment of those involved."

Last month, the parents of an Army private who fell and died while training in the Hongcheon mountainous area of Gangwon-do appealed for the truth of the accident and punishment of those involved.

Recently, on the military-related Internet group "Soldier Son's Parents Cafe," the author, who introduced himself as the mother of private Kim, posted, "Please help the death of my son to be properly revealed and fair punishment can be made."

According to the appeal, Private Kim, who was a communication soldier, climbed the mountain with the 25kg equipment he was wearing at Amisan Mountain in Hongcheon, the training site, as well as the luggage of the driver who sprained his leg while climbing the mountain.

In particular, the driver's luggage belongs to Sergeant A, who went to the training site together, and it is written that Sergeant A was waiting for the vehicle without climbing the mountain at the time.

Private Kim, who was training to open the communication network in Amisan on the afternoon of the 25th of last month, was injured and taken to the hospital by 119 emergency helicopter, but died.

The area around Amisan Mountain is a rugged mountainous terrain, and Private Kim is known to have rolled over from a slope while moving communication equipment.

The military is conducting its own investigation into the accident and will hand over the case to the private police if it is judged to be negligent.
