Withdrawal of the strike on Subway Line 9...labor-management negotiations concluded

Regarding the general strike of the Seoul subway scheduled for the 6th, the operation between Sinnonhyeon Station and Jungang Veterans Hospital Station on Line 9 is expected to operate as normal as usual.

The Seoul Transportation Corporation announced today (the 4th) that it has concluded labor-management negotiations with the Seoul Metro Line 9 branch of the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions' National Public Transportation and Social Service Union.

Labor and management will tentatively sign an agreement and vote on approval later.

After several rounds of discussions on wage increases and manpower increases, both labor and management decided to raise wages within 2.5% of total labor costs and increase manpower next year.
