University districts are criticizing Yoon Suk Yeol's declaration of emergency martial law.
The student council of Seoul National University said in a statement, "The declaration of emergency martial law is an act of trampling on the constitutional order of liberal democracy in the Republic of Korea, and we will gladly resist and overthrow injustice."
The student council of Seoul National University will hold a general meeting of students this afternoon (5th) and collect opinions.
Sookmyung Women's University and Konkuk University will issue a declaration today calling for the resignation of the government.
Earlier, presidents of some universities, including Yonsei University and Sogang University, discussed future countermeasures yesterday afternoon (4th) when martial law was lifted.
More than 370 professors and researchers from Korea University also announced a declaration of the current situation and urged President Yoon to suspend his duties and impeach him.
