While the impeachment bill against President Yoon Suk Yeol is scheduled to be put to a vote again this weekend, Jeongeup, Jeollabuk-do, has removed the frame of the president's national indicator in protest of the emergency martial law.
Jeongeup Mayor Lee Hak-soo and Jeongeup Mayor Park Il took off the frame of the state affairs indicator hanging in the mayor's office today.
Mayor Lee announced this on social media and criticized Yoon Suk Yeol's declaration of an emergency martial law, saying, "It is a clear violation."
He then appealed for other agencies to join, saying, "Removing frames with national goals is a symbolic act to resist unjust power and protect democracy."
