Opposition lawmakers from the National Assembly's Public Administration and Security Committee visited the Gwacheon Government Complex of the National Election Commission and claimed that President Yoon Suk Yeol declared martial law based on logic close to ghost stories.
Yoon Gun-young of the Democratic Party explained that the security work of the National Intelligence Service and the NEC was completed, so election fraud related to the 22nd general election could not have occurred.
He then said that all of what President Yoon mentioned in his public statement was already improved, and that the NEC answered.
Shin Jung-hoon, chairman of the National Policy Committee of the Democratic Party, also stressed that President Yoon's logic is not feasible, saying he thought the NEC was vulnerable to security or fraudulent elections, but he thought it had enough ability to respond.
