The Cheonan Branch of the Daejeon District Prosecutors' Office said it handed over a 50-year-old man to trial in custody on charges of visiting a probation office and setting fire after being released from prison.
In August, A visited the Cheonan Compliance Support Center in South Chungcheong Province and is accused of spraying flammable substances on his body and setting it on fire, injuring 18 people, including government officials from the Ministry of Justice.
The prosecution believes that A, who was wearing an electronic anklet, was dissatisfied with the supervision of the probation officer and committed the crime on a planned basis.
