Yoon Suk Yeol's president, who is accused of rebellion, has been summoned by prosecutors for the first time as a sitting president.

However, if the scope is expanded to former presidents, it will be the sixth time in constitutional history after former presidents Roh Tae-woo, Jeon Doo-hwan, Roh Moo-hyun, Park Geun-hye, and Lee Myung-bak.

Former President Roh Tae-woo was investigated by the Central Investigation Department of the Supreme Prosecutors' Office in 1995 on suspicion of raising hundreds of billions of won in slush funds and was arrested on charges of rebellion and bribery in the same month.

Afterwards, former President Roh was indicted and sentenced to 17 years in prison and a fine of 262.8 billion won was confirmed by the Supreme Court.

Chun Doo-hwan became a suspect on charges of rebellion and other charges, but he did not respond to the prosecution's request for summons.

Accordingly, the prosecution obtained an arrest warrant from the court and arrested Jeon on December 3, 1995, and was later indicted and sentenced to life imprisonment by the Supreme Court.

Former President Roh Moo Hyun was summoned by the Supreme Prosecutors' Office in 2009 on charges of bribery, and the investigation ended without the right to prosecute when he died in May of the same year.

Former President Park Geun Hye was investigated by prosecutors in March 2017, after he was dismissed after an impeachment trial, and was later sentenced to 22 years in prison, but was pardoned.

Former President Lee Myung Bak was investigated by the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office in March 2018 on charges of embezzlement of DAS funds and bribery of Samsung, and was later sentenced to 17 years in prison and also pardoned.
