Biological parents charged for 'murder of newborn with disabilities in postpartum care home'

The Cheongju District Prosecutors' Office has put the biological mother in her 30s in custody and the biological father on trial without detention on charges of killing a newborn baby with a disability.

They are accused of killing a week-old newborn in October by lying on her bed when the baby was born with a disability in one arm.

In addition, the obstetrician suspected of conspiring to commit the crime is said to have strongly denied the allegations in a police investigation.
