The Gyeonggi Provincial Council will give its officials a "birthday special vacation" starting next year.
The provincial council said it will implement a special birthday leave system from January 1 next year as the "Amendment to the Provincial Council Civil Service Ordinance," which was proposed by Yang Woo-sik, chairman of the steering committee, a member of the People's Power, passed the plenary session.
With the implementation of this system, more than 440 government officials from the provincial council can use a special vacation day in the month of their birthdays starting next month.
The provincial council plans to propose to Gyeonggi Province a revision of related regulations so that 42 public officials of the provincial council who are not eligible for leave can also use birthday leave.
Unlike public officials who are subject to the Provincial Council Public Service Ordinance, public officials working in the provincial council are subject to the Gyeonggi-do Governor's directives, the Operation Regulations such as Public Officials.Chairman Yang
said, "We hope that the special birthday leave system for civil servants belonging to the provincial council will be implemented for the first time in the country, and that the implementation will be expanded not only to civil servants but also to civil servants working in provincial and provincial councils."
