Nigeria's Embassy to North Korea Re-launches... "13 Countries Return to Pyongyang"

Nigeria's Embassy in North Korea, which has been closed since the COVID pandemic, will resume operations.

A Unification Ministry official told reporters today that the Russian Embassy in North Korea made the announcement on its SNS account, adding that 13 countries have returned to Pyongyang to operate diplomatic missions or resume operations in North Korea.

Nigeria, which established diplomatic ties with North Korea in 1976, is Africa's leading pro-North Korea country, and the UN Security Council's North Korea Sanctions Committee has consistently pointed out that North Korea is sending medical personnel to Nigeria or trading weapons through sanctions.
