Rep. Park Beom-gye of the Democratic Party of Korea claimed that former Special Warfare Commander Kwak Jong-geun hinted at martial law in June and October this year, and last month, or that there was a conspiracy about martial law.
At a press conference at the National Assembly, Park raised the suspicion, saying that President Yoon Suk Yeol, former Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun, Yeo In-hyeong, and Lee Jin-woo, the commander of the defense command, had three positions with Kwak.
He then added that the three prior attempts were not disclosed by former commander Kwak in the investigation of the prosecution's special investigation headquarters.
However, when asked about the details of the three martial law pre-mockings, he answered that it was difficult to say more and that he expected former commander Kwak to make a statement in the prosecution.
