According to an investigation, the accident in which some 200ml of original sterilized milk contain washing water seems to be due to the worker's mistake.
The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety visited the Gwangju plant of Maeil Dairy Products with Gwangju Metropolitan City to investigate the cause of the mixing of washing water, and conducted product collection and inspection.
As a result of a full investigation into the production history of the problematic products, it was found that the sterilizer valve was opened for about a second on September 19 and washing water was mixed in up to 50 products.
The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety explained that the valve was opened by the operator's mistake during the cleaning operation inside the sterilizer, and the washing water appeared to have been introduced.
Other straight products made at the same production facility were confirmed to have no problem.
The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety instructed them to come up with measures to prevent unintentional valve manipulation and to re-establish a manufacturing management operation plan.
also asked the competent authorities to take administrative measures for violations of the Livestock Products Sanitary Control Act, which corresponds to a one-month suspension of business.
