The ruling and opposition parties fought at the National Assembly Education Committee over the revision of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, which regulated artificial intelligence and AI digital textbooks as "educational materials" rather than "textbooks."

The People's Power already said that if AI textbooks selected by the government are defined as educational materials, developers who have invested huge amounts of money will be opposed, and legal issues are also concerned.

On the other hand, the Democratic Party of Korea emphasized that the purpose of the revision is not to use AI textbooks, but not to force them.

Kim Young-ho, chairman of the Democratic Party of Korea's Education Committee, said, "Now it is a 'management cabinet' rather than a 'Yoon Suk Yeol government', and if the amendment passes the plenary session, the Ministry of Education demanded that the National Assembly respect legislation and persuade the opposition in other ways.
