The prosecution has investigated active lawmakers who served as members of the People's Power Nomination Management Committee during the 2022 parliamentary by-elections.

As a reference, Han Ki-ho and Kang Dae-sik were summoned to investigate.

Based on data related to the nomination secured by confiscating and searching the central party of the People's Power last month, we looked at the nomination process of former lawmaker Kim Young-sun.

In a call with YTN, the two lawmakers said the nomination was done fairly.

As the investigation into the incumbent lawmaker begins, there are observations that the investigation of Yoon Sang-hyun, the chairman of the nomination management committee at the time, and Lee Joon-seok, the leader of the party, is also imminent.

In this regard, Myung's lawyer argued that Yoon was the subject of the order, saying there was a conversation with the intention that President Yoon Suk Yeol would "re-check and instruct" the nomination of former lawmaker Kim.
