Suwon City announced that next year's budget of KRW 3.899 trillion has been finalized after passing the plenary session of the city council.
This is an increase of 115.8 billion won and 3.8% from this year's budget of 3.741 trillion won.The city of
explained that it has set up a budget to stabilize people's livelihoods and revive the local economy by increasing the issuance of the local currency 'Suwon Pay' from 20 billion won this year to 41.1 billion won next year.
Lee Jae-joon, Mayor of Suwon, said, "Despite difficult financial conditions, we have invested heavily in projects that will drive Suwon's Great Transition, and we have generously invested budgets to stabilize people's livelihoods and revive the local economy."
