[Incheon] Creation of a complex including eco-friendly residential space around Songdo Amusement Park

The Incheon Metropolitan Government will stop promoting the designation of 2.6 square kilometers of free economic zones around Songdo Amusement Park in Yeonsu-gu, which has been neglected for a long time, and create a complex.

Through the announcement of the "Songdo Amusement Park Renaissance Master Plan," the Incheon Metropolitan Government decided to divide the area of Songdo Amusement Park into eight blocks to create sports, cultural complexes, and eco-friendly residential complex spaces, and to promote the development of Songdo Seoksan Park and improvement of transportation infrastructure sequentially.

It plans to start preparing for each block development project next year, complete the designation of urban development project zones by the second half of 2026, and start construction after 2028 after administrative procedures such as implementation and approval of individual projects.

The Incheon Metropolitan Government has considered the designation of a free economic zone in the area, but decided that the high cost of construction was insufficient for business feasibility, so it prepared a comprehensive development plan through urban planning as an alternative.
