Ministry of National Defense Exclusively Exempts Deputy Chief of Investigation Headquarters on Allegations of Commercial Law

The Ministry of National Defense said it recently excluded Colonel Kim, deputy head of the Defense Ministry's investigation division, from the investigation work, who was suspected of participating in former Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun's plan to form a "direct investigation team" during martial law.

Former Minister Kim has previously been suspected of trying to create his own "direct investigation team" in addition to the joint investigation headquarters, which is centered on the counterintelligence command, which is said to include some members of the Defense Ministry's investigation headquarters, including Deputy Chief Kim.

The Ministry of National Defense's investigation headquarters also reportedly suspended support work related to the joint investigation headquarters, which was formed with the National Police Agency's National Investigation Headquarters and the High-ranking Public Officials' Crime Investigation Agency.

This seems to be due to the fact that it is virtually impossible for the investigation headquarters to cooperate with the investigation headquarters as the deputy head of the investigation headquarters, Park Heon-soo, and Kim, are suspected of involvement in martial law.
